Diversion Media, a broadband video company, is looking for a video software engineer to write an inverse telecine algorithim. The CompanyBased in the Mid West, our client has recently experienced unrivalled growth and as a result is offering prospective applicants an excellent opportunity within the Finance Department. The appointee will be the Chief Financial Officer, principal advisor on finance and will be responsible for developing & implementing effective financial strategies.The RoleThe Director of Finance will be a member of the senior management team. S/He will provide strategic leadership and overall management and direction to the finance function and will play a key role in the development and implementation of the strategic plans.Role and ResponsibilitiesFormulate and implement financial and budgetary strategies, policies and plans which underpin and optimise our clients financial stability and sustainability.Be responsible for the preparation of recurrent budgets, financial accounts, financial statements and reports in accordance with statutory, accounting and corporate governance requirements and best professional practices and standards.Ensure that it meets its statutory obligations and objectives in the key areas of financial management, accounting and audit.Lead in the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of comprehensive, integrated financial planning and forecasting, ensuring maximum utilisation of the resources.Provide strategic leadership for the finance function so as to ensure its functions are carried out to the highest professional standards.Develop, implement and manage effective resource allocation and financial information systems and reporting systems which support financial management and decision making at all levels. Provide strategic and operational leadership and direction in the development and continual improvement of the financial systems, processes and services.Ensure all relevant accounting standards are met and maintain the highest standards of probity and professional practice.Ensure that the Finance Division delivers an effective, efficient and value-for-money service which is customer-oriented and responsive.Provide effective high-quality advice to internal and external stakeholders and represent the organisation on a variety of platforms as required.Have overall responsibility for the procurement and purchasing functions.Liaise with auditors and other professional advisors.The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will be finance professional with extensive experience (at least five years) at senior management level in a large and complex organisation and will have a proven track record of financial planning and management, including the management of large budgets.
